Torchy’s Tacos Celebrates 17 Years with New Taco of the Month and National Award Recognition 

AUSTIN, Texas – [August 9, 2023] – Seventeen years ago, on August 1st, 2006, the Damn Good doors of Torchy’s officially opened in Austin, Texas. Today, the celebration spans 115 stores across 14 states, and our scratch kitchen, queso dipping, taco slinging, and margarita freezing world domination shows no signs of stopping.

Speaking of which, we have even more reasons to keep the Margarita’s pouring. We’re delighted to officially announce that Torchy’s Tacos has been named the #4 Best Fast Casual Restaurant in the USA TODAY 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our fans for making Torchy’s Tacos a beloved destination.

New Taco of the Month: Introducing the Baja Fish! 

We’re thrilled to unveil our latest Taco of the Month creation, the Baja Fish! This fresh, handmade corn tortilla taco features crispy, beer-battered fish, crunchy cabbage slaw, and a burst of flavor from our house-made pickled onions and jalapeños, complemented by a lime wedge, fresh cilantro, and chipotle sauce. Catch this special first-time taco of the month during its limited run this August.
