Fayetteville Feels the Heat as Torchy’s Tacos Opens First Arkansas Location
Community invited to grand opening party on Aug. 5 to celebrate first location in Razorback Country

Austin, Texas – July 22, 2019 – Torchy’s Tacos, the popular Austin-based taco chain, is set to open its Fayetteville location on Aug. 7. The opening marks the restaurant’s first location in Arkansas, and will be located at 1541 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., near the University of Arkansas campus.

“The Fayetteville market has been on our development radar for some time and we are very excited to bring our Damn Good Tacos to Arkansas,” said G.J Hart, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos.

Founded in a food trailer in Austin, Texas in 2006, Torchy’s Tacos elevates the traditional street taco with unique flavor combinations that include responsibly-sourced, high quality ingredients from around the world.

“The traditional fast-casual label does not apply to Torchy’s,” Hart said. “We consider Torchy’s to be a Craft-Casual brand due to the care that we take in ingredient selection and the fact that every taco, queso and margarita is made-to-order.”

Guests can enjoy fan favorites like the Trailer Park Taco, Green Chile Queso and Torchy’s famed Taco of the Month in the large 4,500-square-foot space featuring an outdoor patio. And just in time for football season, the restaurant will also offer catering, including Torchy’s Tacos’ Party Packs, which can feed approximately 20 hungry Razorback fans.

To celebrate the new restaurant opening, Torchy’s will host a grand opening party on Monday, Aug. 5, from 5-8 p.m. The Fayetteville community is invited to attend and enjoy free tacos, drinks and entertainment. In addition, free tacos for a year will be up for grabs for one lucky raffle winner who visits the new location when it opens for business on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Fayetteville will also be Torchy’s first location to host weekend brunch from Friday-Sunday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and will feature The Roscoe which is one of the brand’s most popular Tacos of the Month. The Roscoe is a flour tortilla topped with a crispy waffle, fried egg, fried chicken and a slice of bacon drizzled with maple syrup. The location will also feature a full-service bar (which will open later this fall), offering guests draft beer, fresh-squeezed margaritas and other handmade signature cocktails.

The Fayetteville restaurant will be Torchy’s Tacos’ 65th location in the United States. Torchy’s Tacos also plans to open a second Arkansas location in Rogers in late 2019.
