Torchy’s Tacos Celebrates Austin Escarpment Grand Opening Tuesday, November 13

Taco Junkies invited to epic opening preview party with free tacos and more 

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Oct. 30, 2018 – Torchy’s Tacos, the popular Austin-based taco chain, is set to open it’s 14th Austin location in Escarpment Village on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. The new Torchy’s Tacos location will be serving up Damn Good Tacos at 5900 Slaughter Lane, Suite 550, Austin, Texas 78749. Torchy’s Taco Junkies can get their fix by visiting the new location to enjoy Torchy’s award-winning menu featuring unique tacos, coveted queso and refreshing margaritas.

The new Torchy’s location will officially open for business at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13 and will offer guests an untraditional menu including signature tacos like the Green Chile Pork, the Fried Avocado, breakfast Tacos and the Trailer Park, which is best ordered “trashy” (covered in Torchy’s award-winning Green Chile Queso). Additionally, every guest that visits Torchy’s on opening day can enter a raffle to win free tacos for one year.

The night before the official opening, Monday, November 12, the Torchy’s team will host a public preview party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Taco enthusiasts that attend the preview party will be showered with free tacos, drinks and entertainment and a damn good time. Launched from a food truck in Austin in 2006, Torchy’s Tacos has grown from a favorite of Austin locals to a cult following throughout the Southwestern United States. The brand has grown from its original food truck location to now have over 60 locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado with additional expansion planned in 2019.

In addition to being passionate about delivering a wonderful food experience, Torchy’s is passionate about giving back to the communities where it does business. Each month a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Taco of the Month are donated to Torchy’s charitable partners – MD Anderson Cancer Center, Make-A-Wish and Phoenix House. The Taco of the Month for November is the Turkey Mole, a taco filled with turkey breast with Oaxacan Mole Sauce, Torchy’s Mexican Rice, fresh avocado, cotija cheese and cilantro served on a flour tortilla.
