ACL Festival 2014 Recap

The curtains have closed on another ACL Festival, and praised be the taco gods, we survived! So much fun. So much music. So. Many. Tacos. (seriously, 3,000 lbs of pork!?) Over two weekends, close to 450,000 fans flocked to Zilker Park from all over the city and the world, and things maaaaay have gotten a little loose…but it’s all in the name of good fun.

Besides 2014 delivering some of the best weather the fest has ever seen, Iggy Azalea proved far too popular for the RetailMeNot stage, Pearl Jam kept on rockin’ in the free world, Outkast’s reunion dealt warm fuzzies & surpassed expectations, and Skrillex even pitched in:

Local food favorites such as Frank, Southside Flying Pizza, Chilantro, JuiceLand & more joined us in the Austin Eats food court –  if your belly was not full and happy, you’ve no one to blame but yourself. Taco junkies relied on The Scallywag & Green Chili Pork tacos for fest-fuel, & snacked on Street Corn, Chips, & Green Chili Queso for a late-night rescue.

It was no small feat feedin’ all those hungry festers – we owe a HUGE thanks to all of our staff (about 25 folks per day!) for makin’ this our smoothest and most successful year ever. See ya’ in 2015, music luvahs.
